Learn how to include and manage web links as context in Cursor’s AI features by pasting URLs
Paste Links
In order for Cursor to visit a link before paste the link and you’ll see that the link is “tagged”
PDF Parsing
@Link and web search now support parsing PDFs and including their content as context. When you paste a link to a PDF document, Cursor will automatically extract and parse the text content from the PDF, making it available for the AI to reference and understand.
This works seamlessly with any publicly accessible PDF URL - simply paste the link and Cursor will handle the rest, giving you the full document content as context for your conversations.
Remove Links
By default, we automatically parse links and turn them into @Links
in Chat.
If you prefer to have the link as plain text, click on the link and then click Unlink
.
You can also paste without formatting (hold Shift
) to make sure the link is not tagged
